I yelp because I can.

For their owners it's just another Monday morning.

For the PONs it's the start of the most exciting day ever.

Bob and Sophie's morning begins at high speed and accelerates from there.

This morning we walk down to the locks on the canal. Sophie yelps with delight.

Then it's off to the bakers for the breakfast croissants. Slivers of choux pastry are dispensed to the angelic duo. This cements their belief that today is the best day ever. The bakers wife tries to sell me another chocolate coated Barbie. Amazingly, the last one has been sold.

A trois chocolats for me and a Rhum Baba for 'The Font' .

Angus continues to plough through the mayors document stash. Most of the documents are in Occitane. The French language having made a relatively recent appearance in village life.

Perhaps the delightful duo could persuade the baker to make a doggie choc. (and sausages) version of the awful Barbie? Now THAT would make it the best day ever !

That barbie is terrifying. So is the bear next door....
The canal photo is lovely!

Just wanted to say that Mt. Laguna is several hours' drive from Laguna Beach. If you like the desert, you might want to visit Borrego which is much closer to the mountains. The wild flowers are supposed to be unusually beautiful this year. http://www.lacasadelzorro.com

The Pasadena astrophyicists will all be on top of Mt.Palomar. I think the 10 pm to 5 am lifestyle is best avoided.

If in doubt yelp.

Presumably the French are keen on them as table centre pieces for family lunches. There can surely be no other reason for making them ?

Having just returned from the beach myself, I highly recommend any holiday at a place with that word in the title. Also, I should like one of the first copies of The History of the Village!
We are off to the groomers. Light a candle for us.
