Colour coordinated.

'The Font' heads off on one of those aging relative " Get on the plane now ! " trips. This is not an easy time of the year to arrange travel. Ahead of New Year everything is booked intractably solid. Just as we're despairing British Airways phone back with a solution. They have a special team for moments like these. Their kindness is noted.

Sophie, oblivious to the changed routine, demands to know why she can't go to the bakers with Bob.

Yesterday, for a second time 'The Font' claims to have seen some life in Bobs paralyzed eye.

I point out to Bob that he's colour coordinated with the black and white interior of the car. He doesn't seem impressed.

The turkey finished. The same with the Christmas pudding. Now all that is left is an iced Christmas cake. We discover that Brandy butter is something that American college boys are very keen on.

All the neighbouring villages have Christmas creches. We find one that has a display celebrating the seasonal theme of hog slaughtering.

Across the road a restaurant that follows the 'why bother?' approach to Christmas decoration.

In 'The Fonts' absence culinary standards are likely to suffer a major setback. Bacon sandwiches for dinner tonight ?

I don't know who these people are but the dog on the beach makes me laugh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZnaVqNKSH0

Bacon sandwiches for dinner - what could be better - apart from a few sausages for a certain couple of PONs? Not sure we'd be very impressed at being colour coordinated with a "loonj" either - no street cred there !
We hope all is well with 'The Font's' aging relative. We realised some time ago that we are now the "aging relatives"....

Bacon sandwiches with brandy butter might go down well?

So grateful British Airways helped 'The Font' get to where she needs to be. Our thoughts are with her. Now back to the ROF: no wild parties! That is what we tell Bailey Bob when we leave the house! Such hopeful news about Bob's eye twitchs! May they continue. The cake and flowers on the dining table are gorgeous! Poor Sophie, she has had enough of quiet time.

May all go well on The Font's journey.
The creche is disturbing.
But such an elegant Christmas cake!

Extra prayers for the Font and her family, if anyone deserved a peaceful holiday season it is the Font. Hope those eye twitches have bolstered her spirits some.
See if any of those young men earned a scout badge in cooking & see what emerges from the kitchen. Should be fun! :)

I know from experience, there's no much better than being with a dog on the beach.

Wishing the Font, and Bob, well.

Glad The Font was able to get a flight - I am grateful my parents are here in the city with me. Love the video and to see more footge of Lewis - for many years I have followed Graham. He is another delightful Scotsman and friend who writes two blogs. Although he is now back in Scotland permanently, for many years he spent half his year in Isle of Lewis and half here in New Zealand. http://galenote.blogspot.co.nz/ and http://rotowhenua2.blogspot.co.nz/

Happy New Year Angus - I hope it is less eventful than 2016.
