The essence of high adventure.

A long evening spent on the phone to the credit card fraud line. Someone has hacked into our details and been busy charging away. All the transactions just under $300 which is presumably a level above which checks are made. This is the third time this has happened to us in the last two years. The card company are very good but it means destroying the old card and waiting 10 days for new ones to be delivered.

Bob and Angus start off Sunday with a trip in the car to the greengrocers. Bob leaps into the back of the 'Loonj' tail wagging . He considers an outing to the greengrocers to be the very essence of high adventure. Angus wishes he could say the same.

This morning black skinned potatoes and '' Bouquet " artichokes are oddities that grab our attention.

After dropping off the breakfast croissants Bob and Angus set off for a brisk walk. The weather continues to be abnormally mild.... and sunny. Perhaps this is why the avian flu epidemic continues to spread. Earlier in the week 3000 ducks had to be slaughtered . The number now 10,000 and rising. The local farmers are praying it doesn't spread to the geese.

Sophie is making great progress. She seems slightly hesitant about putting weight on the leg operated on two and a half weeks ago but that shouldn't be a surprise. The other leg provides her with good as new traction. She is beginning to look like a PON diva again.

And condolences to these folk. After 14 years it was time for a change.

Arrrggghhhh! No credit card for ten days!!!!! What a huge nuisance! DO you have more than one type of credit card Angus? We keep a Visa and a MasterCard for that very reason, although usually we only use one. So glad Sophie is getting better. Good luck on the credit card front.

So so happy to hear Sophie is coming back so swiftly! Perhaps a Christmas Eve game of Furry Fox?

No need for alarm. 'The Font' is a great card collector.

Given her way she'd be playing it now.

Bob must be in fine fettle if he leaps into the back of the "Loonj", not much wrong there. Good for Sophie, too, if she's using the other leg. Can sympathise with her hair do - mine looks just the same every morning !
It's not just the inconvenience of no credit card, but the thought that someone has managed to access your details and make free with your money ! Hope all will be resolved satisfactorily.

If my experience is anything to go by after I was burgled a couple of year ago, the credit card company will now be treating YOU as the criminal for the foreseeable future...

It's maybe not high adventure, but a trip to your greengrocer does not look unenjoyable.

Cheers! Gail.

Credit card fraud...the pits.
We think your greengrocer looks interesting. We just have the same ol' same ol', though it is now Mango Season!

Thank you for the music. I watched the Naval Academy Glee Club sing " Eternal Father" in a memorial for the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. It included footage of the attack. My father served in the Navy during WW II, Needless to say, I cried. So happy the dogs are doing well, sorry about the new stress in your life., t least they aren't health related, unless you count high blood pressure!

So sorry that you have to go through an episode of credit card fraud.
Not such a good time to have non-access to a credit card during the spending season.
The fraudsters will stop at nothing. A friend of mine has had his identity stolen three times with credit cards opened under his name. Even though it is all cleared up he is still sometimes interrogated at the airport and has to prove that he is who he says he is.
On the other hand, good news about Sophie and her recovery....can't wait till she is back to her princess diva self strutting through the ROF with an air of "It's me!! Sophie!!"

I am on my third credit card this year due to fraudulent charges. The first time was on 1 January with two plane tickets to China charged to my card. Fortunately, my bank will FedX me another card within a couple of days. Needless, to say I keep a close watch on charges these days.

I am so glad that Sophie is on the mend and doing so well. I hope that Bob will be OK. Sending prayers for the Pons!
