Strange aquatic creatures.

A three layers morning. It was only a couple of weeks ago that Angus could head off on the morning walk in shirt sleeves. This morning it's a shirt, a jumper and a fleece. The PONs love it.

Bob and Sophie continue to be in a happy place although Bob seems to be in a happier place than Sophie....

... that is until Sophie gets in the back of the car and settles down in his place. Bobs expresses his unhappiness.

It's a day of strikes against the new Presidents economic policies. We park in what turns out to be the square where the unions are to hold a rally. A thirty minute trip into town turns into a two hour wait to get to the car. There are lots of speeches. We head off to the bookstore. ' The Font ' finds a cookery book designed for Angus.

On the main square a couple are training their young dog. They've decided to introduce her to the water jets. These jets shrink to nothing then shoot, unexpectedly, eight feet into the air.  A miracle of the urban architects art. The dog doesn't get the hang of it. She sits on the jets, then runs through them. The owner gets soaked. His wife takes photos. Someone, at least, thinks the whole thing hilarious.

Despite the cooler weather The Old Farmer continues to come over and use the pool for his mid-afternoon 'lunge' exercises. The Belgian lady joins him and sits astride a bright yellow pool noodle and splashes. They laugh a lot. I'd have to say The Old Farmer is looking much, much better. His face fuller and ruddier. He informs me that they will be heading off to Lithuania in May of next year for two months. He repeats the 'two months'. Bob and Sophie watch spellbound as these two strange aquatic creatures cavort in the shallow end.

The thought of the senior lovebirds playing in the pool warms my heart. How wonderful that the Old Farmer has such a place to continue his exercises.

No chance of a sneaky photo or two of the Old Farmer and the Belgian lady cavorting?
Poor Bob, Sophie is just winding him up by pinching his place in the back of the car. When we had three fairly large dogs, they used to jump into the boot of estate car, and spend the majority of the journey changing places. They would often all stand up at the same time and block the view from the rear window. On the rare occasions they finally all settled down, they would sit in a row, staring out at the cars following us - must have been quite unnerving.

Two months? Well I hope they get through the next nine first. Are the PONs ever tempted to join in the aquatics, I wonder? YAM xx

As far as PONs are concerned water - in all its guises - is to be avoided. It's devils work.

Love all the pictures; Sophie with her sassy spiked look but Bob displaying his displeasure made me laugh. I Love that fellow.
So happy the Old Farmer is on the mend. I'm sure his "mermaid" is pleased as well. ;)

For the first time, yesterday, went for an early morning walk in ONE layer!

One suspects the dog’s owner may have been having the better time amid the water jets.
Although years ago we had a border collie who was overjoyed when the garden hose was turned on him.
Thank you all for the kind wishes for Millie yesterday. She’s doing well.
