After a two week absence the ladies of the Women's Cooperative return to paint and paper the drawing room. During their fortnight away they have hosted a course in alpaca wool spinning.
It was a very successful course says the tallest of them enthusiastically. 'Successful' in this sense means that seven ladies from all corners of France have spent a week being shown the technical intricacies of weaving natural pashminas on a hand loom.
Bob and Sophie watch as Aude, the bipolar decaratrice, unloads ladders from the roof of the van. She chats away to herself. The three other boiler suited ladies put up scaffolding.
None of the ladies from the Womens Cooperative can be counted as dog people. It would never enter their minds to bring Jaffa Cakes for Bob and Sophie. In this regard the window cleaners are considered better visitors.

window cleaners who happen to carry jaffa cakes are definitely worth courting!!! ...and one wonders that those who spin alpaca might also be interested in the furs of Polish pupsters... YAM xx
Jaffa cakes? Did someone say Jaffa cakes? I'm coming over right away.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.

How remiss of the Women's Cooperative to be unaware that Jaffa Cakes are the way to a PON's heart - and a WHFT called Bertie ! Perhaps the window cleaners will have a little word with them....even a plain digestive would be better than nothing !
I think that it should just be part of the "work" you contract for, that anyone working at the ROF has to bring substanance of some kind for Bob and Sophie!
My nose tells me the ladies of the Womens Cooperative may bring a smokable 'substance' with them for their 11.00 am meditation session.
One has to wonder how often Nemo casually lifts his leg around the Elysee unobserved. Caught in the act this time, however, he certainly made his owner blush.
Perhaps the Nemo link is one that is better not shared with Bob?
We have been spared indoor christenings since puppyhood. Long may it last.
I'm wondering if Nemo is simply following a, um, trail laid down by his predecessors, because dogs can still tell, even decades later (voice of sad experience). At least he seemed to be concentrating on the fireplace and not a grand rug.
That is a perfect photo of Bob. MY heart melts....
