$ 1500 a kilo.

The ground 'squelchy' underfoot.

This constant rain and wind ...

..... does nothing for a girls hair.

It doesn't do anything for her brothers either.

Bob seems to be having a mild replay of his Bells Palsy symptoms. We're adding warm water to his kibbles to make them more digestible. A kind of canine bouillon. His enthusiasm for this meal time novelty is 'evident'.

Truffles from Perigord make an appearance in the cheese mongers. $1500 a kilo.

Yes I noticed in the picture that Bob is looking a bit 'squiffy'. Let's hope the bouillon helps. Or may he needs an add-in of Perigord truffles?
Cheers, Gail.

That seems pricey for truffles. I thought they were going for around €700 a kilo this year. Haven't bought one yet (but not from a shop! we have connections). The weather this year is terrible for truffles. They like moisture in late August, when they start growing after the summer drought. But a wet winter (vs. a cold, dry one) makes them rot.

Sending a little POTP for Bob's "squiffy" - if it brings on special menus, it can't all be bad! As for truffles - I would have to be beyond desparate to eat any kind of fungus, no matter how favoured! YAM xx

Did you buy a few truffles? Ohh la la.

Miss Sophies hair looks like mine in the rain.

Poor Sophie - but never mind, that "just pulled through a hedge backwards" style may yet become the height of fashion !

If I just had a beautiful wet nose, then I would look just like Sophie when I wake up in the morning. May Bobs food with broth, help to make him all better!

One would expect that container to be locked!
