Pomegranates.

Down just after six to find out why Sophie's making so much noise. She's woken early and is on her back under the library table 'singing' away contentedly to herself. Sophie's 'singing' could shred concrete.

Loic, the bifocaled gardener, shows up. He is supposed to blow leaves on Fridays and Mondays but his routine is subject to alteration without notice. Scheduling is not his forte. Loic appears to be talking to the mole hills. Later I will get the lawn tractor out so he can practise his driving skills.

Angus and Sophie head off in the car for the breakfast croissants. Today we shall be going to the local rugby match. We'll stay for as much of it as possible before signs of canine boredom become apparent. With a lack of excitement on the pitch this may not be long. On our way to the bakers we discuss why the impeachment process has been stretched out into next week. Sophie thinks some Senators have a diva like quality and want to be seen on the Sunday morning breakfast shows. She should know.

Huge pomegranates in the greengrocers. A little freshly squeezed pomegranate juice goes well with champagne. Not too sweet, not too tart.

A day already full of small delights, but nothing so delightful as Sophie singing away on her back to kick it off. Oh, if only we could hear her as well!

Suggest perhaps providing dog treats to the local rugby team for the team to randomly give to Sophie. Also food treats from you at half time and after game. If she is anything like my boy she will quickly learn to watch your local boys and follow where ever they are on the field, with very keen interest!

I agree with Stephanie, would love to hear Sophie's singing. Shredding concrete was a laugh out loud moment!

The biscuits look nice. I hope Miss Sophie was good at the rugby and it wasn't too cold out on the field.

...you had me at pomegranates. I would go quite a detour for a decent pom. A fruit I relish and have one a week. Keeps things like hyped up viruses well away! Beats apples, seeds down.

Are you enjoying the opening weekend of the Six Nations? YAM xx

Our rugby club is throwing on a repas before today's six nations game. Should be a rowdy crowd by kickoff. Love pomegranate seeds on our salads.

No local games of any kind here today, because as you know, it's Superbowl Sunday. The news is reporting that tickets start at about $5000 each, and the highest is around $46,000.

You are right, it is a small world. Patowmack Farm is here in Lovettsville - We're not far from Harpers Ferry - I'm glad it was enjoyed. It is really a special place. Their menu is innovative using many ingredients that are grown on the property. And they have a wine list that you might enjoy as well.

Good to know that Sophie is a happy little soul and is contented enough to sing to herself. She's finally worked out how to refill that empty yoghurt pot!

Perhaps Sophie can lead the fans in singing at the Rugby...
