Internet access remains on the non-existent side of sporadic. This doesn't bother Sophie who is up enjoying the early morning sunshine and keeping a wary eye on the donkeys in the field below. We pass a man in white overalls having a cigarette by the large metal box that contains the village internet router. I ask him when the service might be up and running. He gives me an extremely grumpy reply. In the meantime our posts will be squeezed into those brief random moments when the France Telecom system works.
A record of those unimportant little things that are too important to be forgotten.

The grumpy reply.

Good to see Sophie. Bertie and I are hoping that, internet access aside, all's well at the Rickety Old Farmhouse and the 'twinges' are diminishing.
Cheers, Gail (who enjoyed the England win yesterday!)
Good luck. The Orange centrale for phone and Internet in our region burned last August. There are still mobile containers providing stopgap service. Cell phone reception is very poor--outside I can get Edge and inside (stone walls two feet thick) I have nothing at all. For 4G, I have to drive to a hill.
Well....at least the weather looks like great walking weather.
Good for Sophie, who can blame her for not being a slave to the internet? It's the same here with Inca - she doesn't care either!
However, we do hope that all will be restored soon, as we look forward to reading your blog each day.
Sophie's nose is looking particularly magnificent this morning!
You will probably get another grumpy reply (or much longer wait) if you apply for any money back for lack of service from your French ISP!
