The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself.

What a difference a year makes. These ...

 have turned into these .

Another of life's joyful little victories. Too unimportant for a diary but too important to go unrecorded .

To mark the great occasion Bob and Sophie have turned their attention to the bamboo in the garden. A combination of tugging and biting and voila ! bamboo becomes an accessible snack.

Strong winds overnight. One of the fat balls from the bird feeder blows onto the ground. Sophie soon finds it . Chewed, then swallowed, before it can be retrieved. This could prove to be a birthday gift that keeps on giving.

Happy Birthday PONdas
Could I borrow them for a day - our bamboo is getting out of control and could do with a bit of Bob and Sophie's gardening skills !

Love the PONdas! They they grown into plant killing machines. As the font says "it will grow back". After a year, your garden has a lot of growing back to do. Happiest of birthday to the dueling delights.

If only they knew how much joy they bring to their staff and the blog readers! Maybe that is good, they might get a bit full of themselves.

Happy Birthday, Sophie and Bob. Your personalities turned out different than initially expected; the joy you bring to us in the blog world is enormous. Thank you, Angus, for sharing and for letting these puppies be puppies as much as possible. I am enjoying the ride reading of your lives in deep France.

I'm late to the party, as usual (but hoping I've missed the effects of the lard!) Wishing the PONs a happy birthday, with licks-and-purrs from our four kitties.
