What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail ?

Easter Sunday. Bob and Sophie are woken early by the rasp of the German billionaires vintage Mercedes heading off down the lane. Out of nowhere Bob has suddenly developed a wolf like howl. Where he got this skill from is any ones guess. The PON duo's owners are soon up and about.

Down to the cafe for the illicit half croissant. On our way home an ancient tractor lurches across the road in front of us. At the helm the Very Old Farmer. Despite being declared unfit to drive ( and having had his little white van taken away by the gendarmes ) he's once again mobile. He seems oblivious to our presence. The fact that he's driving on the 'British' side of the road may mean he's oblivious to everything. '' There's an Easter miracle if ever there was one " says 'the font'.

Roast lamb and rhubarb crumble for lunch. Sophie is in the kitchen, Bob is in the wine cellar with me. We discover Bob likes fresh peas. Sophie, improbably, likes pea pods.

Easter miracle indeed! We do not want anything to happen to our favorite family! HAPPY EASTER to all four of you, from the Westcoast of Canada. A very ancient bakery - here in Vancouver since 1926 - has baked their own version of Simnel Cake. Complete with vibrant royal-purple colored marzipan over top, lots of white decorations, and a few sparkles here and there. Not restrained and beautifully structured like the one the FONT baked - which was perfection. No wonder Madame Bay had seconds! Enjoy Easter Lunch. Our Scottie agrees with BOB - fresh peas are lovely!

The Very Old Farmer always makes me chuckle...he seems to be his own judge and jury and to be in a world all to himself. His van has been confiscated and he finds an old tractor to drive....reminds me of a saying here....when you don't have horse, ride cow.
An Easter miracle indeed....Happy Happy Easter.

Bob and Sophie are truly like two peas in a pod!

Recently I do not know whether I am more jealous of your PONs' beautiful tails or the lovely wisteria draped over your front door!

Happy Easter to you and the Font. Both peas and pea pods sound delicious after a very long weekend camping at a folk festival with absolutely no prior preparation and not having camped for several decades. I desperately needed a pon to keep me warm at night. Either would have done though Bob is particularly sweet even with his new ability to howl. Clearly he takes his role in the pack to protect you, the Font ad his little sister seriously.
