Monday. The angelic duo make it plain that it's time for our morning walk.
While I get ready Sophie has a quick nap. A diva can never skimp on beauty sleep.
Bob wakes her and plants a quick kiss on his sisters cheek.
Then we're off. We wave at the usual cast of characters. Young garagiste, late running school secretary, farmers in their white vans. Two new horses in the race horse hotel. Bob has been busy following a scent and nearly jumps out of his skin when he sees them.
Up here on the ridge it's bright and sunny. Down in the little market town there's a bone freezing mist.
We have a quick coffee and a bowl of water and return home. The PONS seem completely oblivious to the arctic conditions. One of the benefits of having not one but two thick layers of fur.
This morning Loic enters hospital . He will be having a barium meal. Although she's busy the matron of his home dropped him off at the hospital at 7:30 and took him to his room and stayed until he'd settled in. The nurses all told him their names. Kindness at the start of the week. The true way of the world.
