Hanging in the air.

Our third day in a row of cloudless skies and gentle warmth. The forecast for the next week is more of the same. Lunch taken on the terrace for the first time this year.

Bob and Sophie are back into their happy 'sit in the shade and guard ' mode. The fact there is little to guard against doesn't seem to bother them.

On our morning walk five contrails can be seen hanging in the air. Why they haven't dispersed and why they're only in this one small portion of the sky a mystery. A patch of super cold air ?

The local 24/7 store ( it's actually a 12/6 and a couple of hours on a Sunday morning store ) has been restocking its exotic foods shelves. Foreign visitors to our neck of the woods can feast on Lucky Charms,  pancakes and  Fajitas. For those wanting a walk on the wild side there's Fluff marshmallow spread. I've never seen it anywhere else - least of all in America. Closer examination of the shelves shows it  also comes in strawberry flavour.

Thank you for the wonderful tweet about the little rescue chimp! And what a gorgeous portrait of Bob! We are at our weekend house by the ocean south of Tokyo today, where Cherry the apartment dog gets to play Frisbee in a real yard with real grass. This afternoon I felt a bit like we were channeling the ROF, as the rosemary bushes were thrumming with bees (how did they survive the cold last night?) and there was even a CAT in the yard. It was a very brassy cat - when it saw Cherry it simply flipped over on its back and rolled around in the sun - but perhaps it somehow realized that Cherry hadn't even noticed it was there (although she did sniff wildly when she came upon its scent on her way back into the house).

There is a certain coolness here today - which as a middle aged lady I appreciate. It seems the seasons are getting ready to switch over. Enjoy your sunshine.

I too have joined the meltdown over the good news story... (perhaps meltdown is not the best word in the same post as the climate news!) YAM xx

Everyone seems to be getting spring while we are under a mountain of snow. I have never understood why when traveling you would want to buy processed food from home!

Yes, Fluff Marshmallow is in the US not saying it is in every state. We discovered it in MA where we lived for a while. Then we found it where we have lived for many years. Makes great peanut butter and fluff marshmallow sandwich’s. Many other uses.

I remember marshmallow fluff from childhood, but strawberry? Surely a sign of end times.
I'm always amazed at the variety and quality of your photos of the dynamic duo. Every dog I've had runs the other way, or at least turns head, when a camera comes out. The PONs are all "I'm ready for my close-up now."

Sophie is a 'diva' so no problems with photos with her. Bob is just affable.
