It is the pottery fair in the neighbouring village. 'The Font' says we have to go to show support. We agree to limit our purchases to just two items.
The first choice is a small orange box. This will soon make its way into the storage room alongside all the other things bought at pottery fairs over the last decade.
The second choice a blue bowl. This will also make its way into the storage room but has, for the moment, found a place on a coffee table.
A rather wary and somewhat aristocratic dog watches Sophie and Bob pass by.

The wary dog is surely a Skye terrier?
It's a beautiful dog, and I think you are right that it may be a Skye.
Finally, around noon today, they announced the Japan/Scotland match will go forward this evening. It seems the Japanese manager was very offended at the suggestion the Blossoms might be just as happy with a cancellation, and certainly the Scots were very upset. It was quite a storm last night - we even had an earthquake in the midst of it all - and many roads and train lines are still closed, but so long as the teams show up!
Great news !
A breed that's rare enough in Scotland and even rarer here.
Is that a Skye Terrier? Watched the Japanese Team wading through water to the field for a practice session. Assume Scotland is doing the same.

Lovely choices for the store cupboard - future gifts, one wonders?
All credit to Japan for moving forward with the rugby (which is looking fabulous at the moment, very even and well battled); one cannot help but think of those outside the arena who are wrestling with the after-storm... YAM xx
Nice choices at the fair. It looks like some beautiful choices available.
Are you watching the rugby? A bit nail biting for the Scottish (its half time here).
It must be quite a task to keep a Skye as well groomed on a daily basis as that one is. I am envisioning a blue bowl filled with pink roses next summer.
I kept thinking about the blocked driveway much of yesterday and wondered if someone French managed to convince the man with anger management issues to move out of the way. The War lingers on as it does with many of my English relations although they are passing on.
I agree with Bertie and Tobi about the dog maybe being a Skye Terrier or Skye and something - Whatta cutie! We don't see them that often here either.
Good choices at the fair, and good for you and "the Font" for continually supporting the local artist!
