Audacious.

We return from our walk. Sophie looks as if she's been dragged through a hedge backwards. This is perhaps a little unfair. She's been through a hedge but not backwards. In fact she's been through a hedge several times this morning in hot pursuit of an audacious C-A-T.  It goes without saying that the C-A-T made good its escape.

So starts a Saturday morning in a quiet little village in deepest, deepest France profonde. Sophie's C-A-T chasing is likely to be the most exciting thing that happens in the village today.

Our neighbours report a litter of kittens have appeared on their front step. They would like us to take some. We fear the dogs may think they are new toys. Lady could not handle that drama, but as the mice have returned, we wonder if one could help with that problem.

Exhausted !

Sophie might think they were snacks. Not something we'd be tempted to try. PON temperament is not feline friendly. The C-A-T-s come into the garden when Sophie is asleep so our mouse problem is dealt with while its dark.

That pre-first nap look.

That last photo of Sophie show just how much she enjoyed herself chasing that audacious C-A-T - it must have been worth the effort!
On one of our walks there is a cat that has tried to befriend Inca, but she doesn't want to know! She isn't aggressive, in fact rather the opposite - she hides behind my legs until the cat gives up!
