A constant round of adventures.

Another early start. We're on the phone at five to West coasters wanting to know about the French Presidents visit to Moscow. He was kept waiting for an hour and a half which says all you need to know about the outcome. It's not as if he rolled up at the Kremlin unexpectedly. The consensus this morning is that the meeting was a humiliation and that nothing was gained. I'd be more generous. It's easy to be cynical but the old adage 'Blessed are the Peacemakers', or at least those who give it a try, never loses it's pertinence.

There's a duck on the river. The presence of the duck requires the PONette to stop in her tracks to glare at it. I wonder if she's going to hurtle through the fence and give chase but Sophie decides that the quacking duck is not a threat. Now she's nine the family diva has come to the understanding that she can't walk on water. This understanding was late in coming but is welcome.

Duck goes on its way oblivious to the mortal threat on the quayside. The mortal threat paddles in the water and enjoys a long and exceedingly noisy drink.

Then it's in the car and off to the drive thru bakers for a shared croissant.

A PON girls life is a constant round of adventures.

Still high but the numbers are coming down. Perhaps a trip to London next month ? :https://twitter.com/GuillaumeRozier/status/1490402276468473868

You are looking quite brushed down in that last photo Sophie. We think you keep your humans rather busy at the grooming. I too like a daily brushing. It gets the blood flowing.... Mr T

From this side of La Manche the French president looks at least somewhat less objectionable than the "not a complete clown" UK PM...
We hope the croissant was up to scratch.

Another busy start to your day, Sophie. Possibly not as exciting as some, but there are still curly croissant ends to be enjoyed and glaring at ducks is another good way to start the day. Ica wants to know what it's like to be a mortal threat - and can you eat it?

I find at the moment I am wanting to hide from world (and, indeed, local) news...
and will enjoy, instead, all these gorgeous sunrise, water and PONette views!

I love the silvery atmosphere of your waterside pictures; they have a look of serenity.

Sophie is nine? Time to get another so that Sophie can teach it the ways of the PON.
