Gaspillage.

Good morning from Sophie. And what a morning it is. Blue skies and sunny. There's even ( despite the early hour ) a hint of warmth.

The family diva has found something gloriously malodorous under an olive tree. She reluctantly, very reluctantly, leaves it and clambers up into the back of the car. A mental note is made of its location so that it can be found again on her return.

Off down a largely empty motorway to the really good bakers.

The first time we've been there in three pandemic filled months. I'd forgotten how good their croissants are. Although it looks a little battered the taste and the freshness warrant a 9.8/10. Sophie gives it a 15/10. She loses control of her tail which morphs into hyper-wag mode.

The bakers makes three batches of bread every morning. They've taken to selling loaves from the last, slightly stale, batch at a 25% discount. They have only started to do this. I wonder why ?

A very trendy and very minimalist new house in Greece. Where would you keep your keys ? You would need to be exceedingly tidy to live here  : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzvDOm7GfdU

I must say the models wandering about that house do not portray the idea of a living place full of joy and pleasures. They are as cold and dull as the house. It's a spectacle but not a home. Where to keep your keys? There are plenty of crevices in the rocks up the stairs that you could poke keys into i guess.

Pet ownership and the attendant happy chaos so much preferable to living in a coldly minimalist house.

A 15/10 croissant - oh lucky Sophie! Envy you your sunshine and blue skies. Rain overnight here and a wet day forecast. To compound the misery I woke to cold radiators and no hot water! So much for the new, ultra efficient gas heating system! Why does this always happen on Sunday?
I notice that the dreadful building is referred to as a house - not a home - big difference. I don't dislike modern architecture, but this is totally without any warmth and is minimalism taken several steps too far. A place to exist but not live. Who would want to walk up and down all those boring stairs and the very dangerous looking rubble and weed strewn entrance steps? Imagine it in a few years when all the bare earth is overgrown with weeds!
Having owned dogs for over 40 years, I'm hopeful that this will keep me alert for a few more years! It's certainly helped keep me fit!

9.8/10??? Surely Angus has a dose of spring fever?

The presentation of nCaved was overblown and did nothing to enhance the positives of building INTO the hillside in hot and arid countries (it would work in cold damp countries too). Cave dwelling is, after all, the original architectural protection. And once someone moved in and decorated, I am sure its character would be entirely altered. And one would have a stand for one's keys... YAM xx

Near 10 on the scale, how WONDERFUL! The house needs some furniture and a couple thousand books,to be home. Nice views, like the pool.

Blue skies and tamed fur! No need for keys; there is nothing worthy of stealing, not even the house.

Well, if nothing else, one would certainly be physically fit climbing up and down all those stairs on a daily basis. A really strange video that was fun to watch. I absolutely loved the Sophie photos today. What droll faces she gave you for the camera. Must have been taken before the joy of the croissant occurred.

May your day be as delightful as Sophie's hyper tail wagging mode!

Although I think it's bedtime for you now, Sophie, I'll say "good Monday morning" to you for when you wake up.

I have to wonder what kind of rating Sophie would give an American croissant?

She'd give a donut a 12/10.
