As quickly as possible.

Sophie heads off after a fox. It's six am, dark, blustery and raining heavily. The sort of wet morning when you want the start of day 'comfort break' to be over as soon as possible. You also want to make sure the torch battery doesn't give out half way along the driveway.

There is zero chance the fox is in any danger - largely because the fox has headed into the laurel hedge while the PONette has headed , howling, in the opposite direction. Sophie expends much energy hurtling round the orchard for very little result. Sometimes she howls, inexplicably, with delight. Not just any howl but the head back, lungs full, village wakening PON howl. She is still in vocal hunting mode when she's loaded into the back of the car, toweled dry and driven off for the morning breakfast croissants. She seems very pleased with herself . In fact she seems inordinately pleased with herself which is a surprise considering her 'unusual' ignore the prey hunting technique.

Angus is again left to wonder about the Polish Lowland Sheepdogs ability to absorb its own body weight in water . When we get home all the blankets in the back of the dog car will need to be replaced .... again.

86,000 cases in France yesterday. 4 weeks ago we were at 500,000 plus. That trip back to London looks more and more likely.

I had to look at this twice to understand what was going on . I'm still not entirely sure what this demonstrates apart from lack of observational skills ?  :https://youtu.be/TXk-Oc35oN4

Which do you prefer? Both opening up again :https://www.62.no/en/hotels/winter/hotel-brosundet/  and here too :https://www.62.no/en/hotels/summer/hotel-union-oye/

That Canadian trucker thing just gets odder :https://www.huffpost.com/entry/mike-lindell-sends-pillows-truckers_n_62098698e4b0328e002828de

Sophie apparently has a similar fox-hunting strategy to Bertie.
Gail likes the look of hotel in Norway, but suspects the room rates might be a few orders of magnitude beyond her price bracket.

If Inca had the chance to meet a fox, that's the time she'd make up her mind if she was going to (ineptly) chase it.
It's not so much either hotel, but the scenery that surrounds it, although I'd probably go for the Brosundet - that fireplace is magnificent!

At least the fox has learned about boundaries... Can't say either hotel attracts my attention, but, like Coppa's Girl, the scenery is the thing - so Oye for me! YAM xx

Amy we see the fox in one direction and superior divas know the fox is going in the other direction, like the video, or keen sense of observation can be off. Such a sweet little girl

The HuffPost article is full of misinformation, courtesy of Mr. Lindell. The protest in Ottawa at this point really has nothing to do with the truckers per se (they are merely the foot soldiers at the beck and call of their far right fringe organizers) and as anyone who looks at a map will plainly see, Ottawa is no where near the U.S. border and the protest at Parliament Hill has no bearing on "supply chain issues". And by the way, Mr. Lindell, the border crossing at Windsor is open again. https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/ambassador-bridge-reopens-after-week-long-protest-1.5779561 It's very disturbing to see what's being reported in other countries! I think the world is getting a highly distorted view of what's going on here.

Happy Monday to you, Sophie and Angus!

PM Trudeau is in the process of invoking the Emergency Act that will allow the Federal Police, RCMP, to manage the Siege of Ottawa and Border crossings. For some reason unknown at this time the Ottawa Police have failed to do what is required. Meanwhile the Toronto Police did an excellent job of closing down streets using the cities dump trucks and garbage trucks to block streets and closing the major highways around the city.

Ruth Martin, thanks for injecting more clarity into the "Ottawa protest", you are correct, the "protestors" are not part of the mainstream Canadian trucking industry, they are merely useful tools. And with regard to My Pillow Guy, one must remember that he has been predicting Trump's reinstatement for about a year now, 'nuff said! Cheers
