Another glorious sunrise.
In the time it takes to walk the two hundred yards to the shore it's starting to cloud over. In this part of Scotland the weather can move from summer to winter and back again in the space of ten minutes. In fact in all parts of Scotland the weather can change from summer to winter and back again in the space of ten minutes. A few lazy seals look at us with disinterest mixed with irritation. This morning it's breezy. Sophie suffers from a serious hair malfunction moment. It's all over the place.
The strength of the breeze picks up. Sophie's hair malfunction moment becomes a semi-permanent feature.
It took me a few moments to understand this cartoon. Then I saw the Corgi. The police outside the cathedral in Edinburgh wearing white gloves. The quietest whisper of change.

"This morning it's breezy" is a phrase I expect to be reading here quite often over the next few months. Sophie should prepare for many, many more hair malfunctions. It could be called the Scottish look.
Poor Sophie -a malfunctioning hairdo and disinterested seals!
This morning, talking to my next-door neighbour who, though German, lived in Scotland for fifteen years and commented on the four seasons in one day. She soon learned the wisdom of having boots, warm coat and umbrella near to hand, even in high summer!
Love the windswept look, if only I had the hair for it.

Ah, Sophie dear, again we share a look... YAM xx
Aww Sophie, my hair is the same in the wind. I think we would all love to see the dogs say goodbye.
I love it when da furs fly in da wind. So freeing.
