Awffy wee .

The cat that pees in the barn and sleeps on the wood pile unveils a devilish new trick. It sits outside the front door and sings. It does this at 1:34 am. The reaction of the angelic duo to this auditory interlude is immediate and enthusiastic. Angus gets up. The screeching cat is told where to go and the PONs are finally bribed into silence with a rice cake. City dwellers that think the countryside is quiet have no idea.

Sophie pre-grooming....

.... and after.

Within thirty seconds Sophie has reverted to her feral look. Digging will do that.

Is it my imagination or does this years Scottish rugby squad look 'awffy wee ?'

Never mind, she looks so happy in the first photo, and has a "That was a waste of time - just wait till I start digging" look on her face in the second one! Where's the gorgeous Bob?

    1. The words 'Bob' and 'grooming' don't appear in the same post !

  2. Greig Laidlaw, not a big man, certainly looked worried.

    1. Better a wooden spoon than no spoon at all.

  3. Imagine having to listen to cat opera for the twelve hour drive between our homes in Derbyshire and in the Loire. Definitely a way to test how much one loves one's cat!
Sophie looks adorable when brushed and just as adorable when she isn't.

    1. Somehow seems more creditable to lose to Bangladesh at cricket than Italy at rugby . Italy !

  6. Ms. Diva Sophie always looks adorable to me....groomed or not groomed.
Some of the guys on the team may look awffy wee but remember "it don't take big axe to cut down big tree"...look at David and Goliath.

    1. You might be right. There again there was only one Goliath and there ar4e 15 large Englishmen ready to face the Scots Davids.

  7. Sophie looking elegantly disheveled. It could be worse for Scottish rugby, they could be the England cricket team. Now there is a team who live to disappoint.
