Happiness is not in doing what one likes but in liking what one does.

Todays discoveries :

Pilgrims - To be greeted at the front gate with yelps and boundless excitement .
Moles - An excuse for feverish digging .
The curvy bits from the end of croissants - Can it get any better ?
The croissant giving waitress - Quite simply a woman to be adored.

Angus, the title to today's post - is this your philosophy for training the dear little angels? Not sure it's the most practical approach!
Cheers, Gail.

Pilgrims, croissants and the kind croissant lady...clearly dogs of discernment.

My question: with all that digging, how do those adorable faces stay so clean and white?

A mysterious, dirt repeling , attribute of puppy fur !

Croissant heaven has been discovered....so happy for them.
Wonder what made them both leave off digging so abruptly...was it time for lunch, or another pilgrim at the gate?

Sounds like they have it all about right.

I've been away for a while and come back to discover two wonderfully floppity puppies have joined you! They really are fab. I look forward to following their (and your) adventures.

I am also amazed at the dirt repelling puppy fur. I would think they should be coal black from their excavations.

Will no one save the planter? Will it never find peace or will its total existance be an excuse to dig for Sophie? And what of Bob? Will he ever get his time in the planter? And what is at the bottom of the planter? Tune in tomorrow for more of the continuing adventure known "As the Planter Turns".

Well, the good news is that Sophie's front claws won't need trimming-the digging will keep them the right length. Oh and that both pups have charmed the croissant giving waitress.

I love how you and the Font let Bob and Sophie be puppies! :) Mitzi and Emmy want to know: do you keep refilling the planters with glorious dirt, or is Sophie simply working her way through all the planters around the Rickety Old Farmhouse?

Refilling the planters is a zero sum game. Sophie just redistributes whatevers left from her previous digging ! Soon it will all be gone and we'll get some peace. Puppyhood comes and goes so quickly that this time round we're determined to enjoy it as much as they do.

I love the way the black or brown fur obscures, so in a full-face photo you can't see their eyes, even though you know they're in there -- lurking behind the veil, as it were, and plotting more mischief. The mysterious PONs.

there is absolutely nothing to add to these comments! all as joyous as the puppies themselves.
even my all my questions were answered!
going back now and re-watch the video.
i so hope the dear lady who couldn't get it to play was finally able to do so. because the videos are
well . . . priceless! and the sound just adds to the fun. oh how i could hug those two. how do you keep from cuddling them constantly? i know . . . they're simply too busy! but they must sleep. that's when. puppies asleep are dead to the world. exhausted happily. xo to you four.

If someone fed me the curly end bits of a croissant I think I would fall in love too! Can those faces get any more adorable? I don't think so....
