A record of those unimportant little things that are too important to be forgotten.

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
Sophie clambers onto the top of the garden planters and carefully digs out all the soil and bulbs. Satisfied with her gardening skills she then uses her nose to knock over the flower pots that line the outside stairs to the terrace. The morning copy of Le Monde thoroughly shredded before its read.
Bob discovers that Angus has inadvertently left a jumper on a hall chair. This is liberated and dragged into the garden where it makes an excellent bed. The corners of a Turkish rug carefully chewed . A trail of masticated wool left as evidence.
The little darlings are enjoying life - in a throttle wide open way. Their completely exhausted owners are in bed and sound asleep by ten .

Oops forgot to warn you about the sleep deprivation of puppy ownership. Sophie sounds lke the lead mischief maker. Our pup just went into heat! Vet and breeder told us not to get her spayed until she either had first heat or was a year old. Theory is waiting allows for more skeletal/muscle maturity. Will be scheduling the procedure very soon.
Oh dear. I promise not to giggle.
I hope it wasn't a favourite sweater.
Double trouble..
Sleep well
Well they obviously feel very at home :0)
Oh, Angus! They are so sweet!
giggle giggle...
but they're so cuuuute!
And to think you were worried that Sophie had an overly shy and retiring nature, hahaha!!
Those two babes are such fun. It's so wonderful to view the world afresh through their eyes.
xx (for Bob and Sophie)
Ooooo become the terrible twins already, but you have to love them!
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
The joys of parenthood.
Oh my goodness, what a good morning laugh for me. Sophie is a girl after my own heart.....send her over to help me out with my gardening chores. I've got some repotting to do, and I could sure use her help. Never judge a book by its cover Angus....Sophie had us fooled didn't she?
I've reread this post twice and I can't stop laughing....love them both.
Happy weekend.
Yes, owners exhausted and in bed asleep by ten, but Bob and Sophie batteries are recharged and bladders refilled by 11:00! :-)
Parenthood was nothing like this. Or was it ?
Ah yes, I remember the days...if its not young children, its young animals. Enjoy looking for new rugs!
An early morning giggle. Thinking about what Sophie wrote in her diary at the end of Day 6.
This makes me smile and smile and smile.
LOLOLOLOL !!!!
i'm so glad their owners know what's truly important in life.
puppies. not things. XO
and of course a good night's sleep doesn't hurt either.
Enjoying your blog this morning. Your pups are wonderful! Lynn in IL
OoooooooooooooooooooOOOOOHHHH they are so sweet.
So happy to see them so beautifully enjoying life - my oldie was at the vet today - dooming news - trying to adjust - life goes on - love from Southern Italy susanne, Foxiie, Daisy and Kirilirili
So sorry to hear about the news. Here's hoping Oldie confounds the vet !
We have a few chewed corners on rugs here. Fond reminders of puppyhood.
Fun, isn't it?
Bob, I have to know. Was it a cashmere jumper? You get extra points for that you know...
Toodle pip! Bertie.
Ah, memories!! :)
Yes.
Sophie keeps her self entertained, needs no toys.
Maybe Bob was checking on sizes, Father's Day is coming. Could be why the jumper was taking out side.
They will keep you young at heart.
I love your blog, it is so up lifting for us all, thank you.
What is the old saying about dogs? "A tired dog is a good dog" Perhaps a forced march down a long road a couple of times a day would wear the little ones out. Not to mention keep you in fine fettle.
Cheers,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat
Too bad it wasn't the saccharine bear sweater. Sounds like the next time you need something dug up you just need to put Miss Sophie on the task. Who needs the guys with back hoes?
We can only imagine how exhausted your peeps are when they fall into bed, Bob and Sophie! You pups know how to have a good time already!
Love ya lots
Mitch and Molly
Is it not amazing just how we forget just what puppyhood is like??? And Bob and Sophie are growing quickly....you can see it in just a week!!!
We have lots of weeds in our yard...perhaps we could hire Miss Sophie for assistance??
XXOOO
