Sometimes it just feels really really wonderful to be alive .

Why is it people buy expensive dog toys when a plastic flowerpot can hold a puppy's attention for hours ?

Why is it expensive toys are left outside in the garden overnight but plastic flowerpots have to be brought indoors ?

Why is it when puppies have a huge garden to play in it's the muddy compost heap that holds a spellbinding  attraction ?

Ah, the big question.... WHY?!

1. Plastic: One of my Stella's top food groups. A little bit is fun but those sharp little fangs can break off swallowable sharp pieces which can go into little tummies. This is like not giving splintery bones.
Get them a rubber Kong on a rope, that will be safer and put the plastic pots up, please. Its plain they love ropes, too! I bet I look at this blog at least three times a day and get such good laughs from this pair! Truly adorable.

Duh, Angus! Of course a plastic flower pot it better. It just is. And compost heaps smell the best, obviously. As for expensive toys, I wouldn't know, I don't think I'v ever been bought any...
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Hey, Bob, you need to sort out this 'girls on top' thing (2nd video). It could get out of hand.

I think it must be the same reason a box is often the most played with element of the toy at Christmas!
Have a lovely day.

Is that a flying squirrel in your garden? I love the magic disappearing-cloak tree. How many pups can hide inside it?

Ahh not only garden beds surrounded by manicured lawns and studded with beautiful trees, there are wild areas as well in your garden? What bliss for a pon or two!

Angus, I am sure there is a canine Confucious somewhere.......obviously his principles are being followed by Bob and Sophie.
"Cheap plastic pot far better to play with than expensive dog toy."
"It is better to play in stinky dirt than on nice tile floor in house."
"When Master have camera in hand, encourage him to use it."
"Play all day, sleep all night.

Maybe you could find an new and expensive plastic flower pot, just for experimental purpses see if they like it. Love Sophie to see Sophie walk into the bushes, so funny, and surely the compost heap was put there for their joy and entertainment?

I currently have 3 young adoptable dogs, one 6 mon old, the others maybe 1 y/o. Following your lead: letting them be puppies, training when opportunity presents itself. Adore the videos.

Careful of the compost heap...that's what just cost us over $350 in vet bills last week! I would hate for the darlings to get what our pups got....horrid stuff!
