A promise is a cloud, fulfilment is rain.

Loic, the gardener, arrives at nine and starts blowing leaves into piles. It's a windy morning so this simplest of tasks takes on an added complexity. Bob and Sophie follow Loic round the garden, barking loudly. Whenever a pile of leaves is considered large enough to demolish they dart in , do leaf scattering cartwheels , then dart off again. Loic accepts their destructive involvement with stoic good humour.  Bob and Sophie are finally exiled to the kitchen. Their reluctance to leave the leaf piles is all too evident.

Dogs are so good at reminding us how the simplest things can be the most fun.

I have noticed in recent photos that Bob's front legs look longer than his back legs. Is this an optical illusion or a PON trait?

Cheers,
Gail.

Must be the perspective or the fur. I've just looked and his front legs seem to be the same length as his back ones !

A beautiful autumn day, piles of leaves and two PONs. Heaven.

We are currently having some work done on the back of the house. The workmen left a pile of building materials near the back gate. Guess where I've been all morning? Two collars in hand, trying to fish out my own two sheepdogs who are focused like lasers on this irresistible mound of new smells and dangerous temptations. Sigh. Give Loic my sympathies.

In my mind, the PONs' leaf fun is not unlike this Husky'a:http://youtu.be/7xEX-48RHCY. So glad Loic has good humor.

Dear Loic....the patience of Job and the good naturedness of a true canine lover.
Glad he was able to finish off his work.

They look disgruntled. Leaf piles need to be around for awhile.
