A young saint may prove an old devil.

New wooden planters appear. Twenty of them set out in the square in front of the church. The rest of the world may be suffering from the effects of austerity but not the local municipal parks department.

The first tick of the year on Bob. Thankfully, it's dead and comes off easily. The Frontline and the Scalibor collar doing what they're supposed to.  How any bug manages to find its way through that thick double coat and latch itself onto his skin is a mystery. From now on finger tip checks on each of them before lights out.

Sophie spends her day under an azalea. She has that - 'Can it get any better ?' - look.  In fact it can. There's freshly made spaghetti with her dinner kibbles. When Sophie is very, very happy she snorts. This is a multiple snort day.

Thorough finger tip checks must be quite an undertaking with those two coats! No doubt they enjoy the extra attention.

Spring finally comes and ticks. Just unfair in our opinion.

A reminder for me to be be extra vigilant as we have spotted deer a couple of times in the past week.
Merlin is also a snorter!
Have a great day.

Snorting PON's !

Sophie loves the attention - Bob thinks it's a load of nonsense and can't be bothered with it.

It's a good thing that the Frontline is working and has no side effects for the PON angels.
I have not seen a tick or a flea in a very long time, since I started brushing Brownie twice a day.
Freshly made spaghetti makes me snort too....

Glad that the Frontline is working. Still too cold for ticks, but when they are around, we also give that good once over as a routine--The dogs think it's a massage and couldn't get any better -- if they only knew that pups are dining on freshly made spaghetti in deepest France profonde.

Ticks are frozen solid here but the tick checks will come eventually. Your experience reminds me that they are more then a minor inconvenience. Jigs sneezes when she gets excited.

She's such a flower child!

Our two think finger tip checks fall delightfully into the category of belly rubs.
Hopefully Bob and Sophie will feel the same.

I love watch dogs eat spaghetti, especially one strand at a time, held up for them as they nibble their way up.
As you say Angus, there is always laugher in a house with dogs and, fingers crossed, if all goes well this weekend I might have a Newbie of my own to laugh at.

Sophie does, Bob doesn't.

How sweet. Sophie snorts and Bob has uncontrollable facial expression that show his underwrite. Those two make me smile so much.

I don't think that ticks are a problem here. I've never, ever checked for them. Going to have to look into this.

Underbite, obviously. I'm terrible at "typing" on a tiny device.
