A joyful heart is good medicine.

The cheese lady offers us some Brie with truffles. Not today. Some foods have the words 'clogged arteries' written all over them. Bob and Sophie make do with a sliver of Salers.

On the shopping street what appears to be a painted tree. Closer examination shows the tree has been cocooned in patchwork embroidery. Why? Why only this tree and none of the others ? Bob, plans for tree christening dashed, hopes that this is a trend that will NOT catch on.

Chicken all'arrabiata for dinner. Two gourmand dogs carefully observe everything that goes on. PON's like spicy. There again PON's like all food.

A conductor straight from central casting ?

That is an impressive moustache!
I think the tree looks rather nice in its costume.
Never mind Bob, plenty of others to attend to.
Have a lovely day.

yarn bombing! fantastic! This is JUST to brighten things up, it pops up anywhere and suddenly :)
Do you need a third dog for all those trips to the bakers and cheese vendors? (slivers will do) I'll volunteer ;) I could be a red setter :P

Bertie strongly approves of the facial fuzz.

Yarn bombing in deepest France. Our world is getting smaller by the day. Am very familiar with yarn bombing in Sydney's inner west but not with truffles as not all that common in my corner of the world. However I have tried a salami with black truffles and can still taste it in memory. Sublime. Superb. So not at all sure I could resist the brie with truffles. No I am telling lies. I have absolutely no doubt that I could NOT resist the brie with truffles. And not even sure I would share it with the pons or my darling cat who is my current substitute for a real dog. Though he does love a daily walk every evening when the sun goes down.

Two delightful new things this morning: yarn bombing and mustachioed conductor of Glinka. (Where do you find all these great musical bits?)

The Russian oligarchs have been having a Glinka music week at their 80 bedroom chateau. We went twice and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

If the Font ever publishes a ROF cookery book I'll preorder my copy now please

I should add Glinka was a composer we knew absolutely nothing about before the concerts.

Another victim of yarn bombing.
Though a knitter myself, this just confuses me.

Hercule Poirot would be envious of that moustache.

Give us the Brie with truffles and let us die happy.

Well it seems as if yarnbombing has finally hit the streets of deepest France profonde.....let's hope it doesn't catch on too much for Bob's sake.
Enjoyed the video...what an immaculately groomed moustache.
