After sales service ?
The glass inside one of the round light fittings was broken by the electricians. A replacement is ordered from the fancy shop in Paris. As the post lady hands over the package the jingle of broken glass signals that all is not well. Angus e-mails and asks for another to be sent. The reply ? " We are a lighting company. The glass was sent to you in good order. If it was broken on arrival it is not our problem ". A reminder that after sales service is a concept quite alien to the French.
Anti-itch herbs arrive for Bob. We'll see if they work.
It rains. Heavily. Bob and Sophie spend their day digging. Both seem very proud of their handiwork. In the evening they find not one, but two, hedgehogs. Sophie's nose seems to get wetter and shinier with every passing day.

I'm looking at photo no. 4 and imaging Bob saying "you know Sophie, we're pretty well off here at the ROF, don't you think?"
A hedgehog apiece!
Look at those paws !!! I hope your cleaner doesn't read this blog
In picture 4, Bob is saying 'We did good kid'!
I hope the herbs work for Bob. I'll note the name for future reference.
I do not understand how companies with this attitude stay in business. I can only assume that the French accept this the norm.
Those muddy paw photos say it all ... except was there a B.A.T.H.that followed?
Flimsy looking shipping carton. Good packing seems to be an alien concept as well.
No. 4 photo looks like Bob is asking "Do you think this means a bath....". It's a great picture, Angus.
Hope the font's recovery remains pain free.
Photo No. 4 is a keeper. Muddy paws and muddy noses, life as it should be.
Is there a local glass supplier where you could get a piece cut? Might be the simpler solution.
It's a glass tube of a specific diameter. Has to be blown to measure. At the moment I'd be happy with a refund.
We tried the herbs on PONs years ago and they seemed to work.
Water torture day is tomorrow.
You'd think a lighting store might know something about packing glass. There again ....
This morning we got a tut and hrumph and a sigh ... simultaneously.
Stereo yelps !
Or '' shall we leap in that puddle again ? ".
They do look mighty proud of those muddy paws!! Looks like it was a job well done!!
Have you contacted the postal company who delivered the package about compensation for damages to the parcel between the lighting shop and your house?
Hey Sophie...you got muddy feet. The Fancy shop should send you a replacement and a credit. They packed and shipped. Just sayin'
