Willingly ?
In the field by the stream a herd of protective mothers and their very young calves. The turkeys have escaped from the farmyard and are congregating noisily in and around the flower bed by the petanque courts . The farmers wife is trying to shoo them back down the hill. She briefly pauses in her Sisyphean task to ask if there's any particular bird we'd like for Christmas. This is rather too sobering a question for this time in the morning so I answer '' any will do just fine ". Bob and Sophie consider the turkey flock to be the most exciting thing to have happened to them since Bob discovered a fish in a bucket. They are 'encouraged' homeward.
Off to London for a few days while 'the font' has a thumb operation. Angus is going along as bag carrier and door opener. Bob and Sophie are heading off to the kennels. Bob willingly, Sophie less so.

Surely Bob and Sophie could have helped herd the turkeys?
Hope all goes well with the font's thumb op.
A flock of turkeys.....what fun!
Its getting busy in London Angus so I think you might be acting as bouncer to keep people from barging in to the Font.
Hope all goes well with her op
Safe journey and best wishes to Mme Font.

How nice to be reminded of the fish in the bucket which is one of my favourite Bob posts. And one in which the Font featured. Hope her thumb makes a speedy recovery.
With Thanksgiving around the corner for us, I'd take any turkey too! We're seeing wild ones on our property, much to the delight of the dogs!
All the best for 'the fonts' surgery and for Bob and Sophie too!
Healing wishes to 'the font'!!! Turkeys are just the best thing to watch aren't they?
If it is a basal joint arthroplasty, tell the font to absolutely take the pain medications. Lots of manipulation of tissues there. Hopefully you will be able to get a lot of your Christmas shopping and ordering done. Possible limitations and discomfort for the patient may be part of the recovery. One's favorite rose always helps.
Poor Sophie! She's a home and hearth girl for sure.
Wishing the font a hale and hearty thumbs up.
Sending good thoughts to the font...
Thinking of you, Angus, and 'the font' and hope all has gone well with the surgery, and Bob and Sophie are doing well at 'camp.' Take care!
Wishing the Font all the best with her thumb surgery.
I'm back now and I will try to catch up on what's been happening at the ROF with my two cuties, Bob and Sophie.
