One of those mornings.

Aude, the dungaree wearing bipolar decoratrice, comes to quote on painting the drawing room. She talks away happily to herself. Today she debates the pros and cons of candidates in Aprils Presidential elections .

Outside, on the lane, the man from the phone company has shown up early and is trying to find out why the internet is playing up. Some days it works, other days it works to rule, other days it simply doesn't work at all. He spends twenty minutes poking around the junction box then leaves. ' That's it all fixed ' he says jauntily. ' Fixed' in this case means there's absolutely no improvement. Angus phones the service line - again. The person at the other end promises to make a 'commercial contribution' to the next bill. This is what French companies do when faced with an irate customer.

While this high drama unfolds Loic the bifocaled gardener arrives on his moped and starts to blow leaves into piles. Loic advances, slowly and determinedly, across the lawn. The leaf blower clearing an arc of grass ahead of him. Sophie follows on behind leaping into the new piles and undoing Loic's hard work. Loic remains oblivious to the chaos being created behind him.

Bob recognizes that this is one of those mornings.

This is interesting psychology : https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/monkey-cage/wp/2017/01/25/we-asked-people-which-inauguration-crowd-was-bigger-heres-what-they-said/?utm_term=.e5910271fe8e

A busy day at the ROF, and Sophie in fine fettle - another one of those days, Bob? No a best day ever - for Sophie at least !
Interesting article, it should make us realise that we should not believe anything from this new administration. Remembering past history, similarities to 1939 come to mind.

From the safety of the other side of the world, Trump seems some kind of a buffoon/idiot/puuppet/narcissistic adolescent, but that research is sobering - it reminds me so much of Hitler's untruths - believed by the mob, and that is not something that can be dismissed as any kind of a joke, Thank you for lightening the mood with those delightful dogs.

Messing up leaves! So happy for Sophie. Saw a sarcastic post on Facebook, showing that all that white space was the KKK.

We have a "professional" phone and Internet connection, which doesn't prevent us from having outages, sometimes for several days. This makes it difficult for me to earn a living. The phone company, which seems to operate under the same "alternative truth" M-O as the new U.S. president, tells us everything is fine.

We had this problem with Orange . They replaced the internal connections and managed to drill a hole in the wall through our gas pipe. Trusty french plumber came immediately and fixed that and the Orange technician skulked away. Eventually they replaced the external cable to the house. Seems to be ok now. Bon chance

The liar lies, the others swear to it. The system of checks and.balances has gone out the window. Lying will become more matter of fact and his surround of yes men nod their heads in alternative universe agreement And let's not forget this loose cannon, this volatile tempered individual holds the nuclear codes. Oh happy day.

At the risk of sounding like 'chicken little', screaming "the sky is falling"; my sky IS falling all around me! Our election was not a reality show that you can turn off, or walk away from. The people who voted for the person now in office, are back to their ' normal '. Do they not see or hear what people are saying? That our morals are dissolving like ashes in the ocean. It is now appropriate to say what you think, without any filters on your thoughts, no matter if it is true or who it may hurt. I look at the people who wanted 'a change' with different eyes now. Many of them are my friends I trusted, and thought I knew. I realize I am a rare breed, wanting to respect the leader of our country. For those of you around the world who are concerned for the USA, I fear your concern is just. Thank you for caring. And thank you for providing a safe place to speak my heart.

Interesting? More like terrifying. I predict he will be ousted within a year; (t)his madness can't go on indefinitely...
