A routine to be repeated.

It's stormy and sultry. The poor garden flattened by the rain. Thunder, lightning and two lively but housebound PONs do not make for a relaxed start to the day.

Bob has discovered that by lying half in, half out of the front door he can stop his sister from coming inside. This brotherly obstructionism generates a maelstrom of irritation on Sophie's part. Bob considers the resulting ear splitting cacophony of complaint to be great fun. Definitely a routine that he intends to repeat. He feigns clinical deafness.

The bakers display heavily biased towards oversized macaroons.

Men in dark suits on the phone early to talk about the Italian crisis. Does it mean the end of the EU ?: No. Does it mean the end of the Euro ? : No. Does it make negotiating Brexit easier for the UK ? : No. Bob and Sophie turn on their backs and snore gently which is, in it's way, a valid take on events.

Rameau is one of our favourite composers. This modern French take on the Ballet Les Indes Galantes is - very French and on rewatching is cleverly structured. The video clip passes the 'it made me smile' test  : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h9HP-VOJv4

I am wondering how easy it would be to slice those monster macaroons into individual portions.
Just watched enough of the video clip to make me want to return when my version of 'men in dark suits' no longer require my attention (in our currently balmy Scottish weather it is usually men in pale blue shirts and chinos).
Cheers! Gail.

I love the video. It is indeed very French. We will be attending a dance performance this weekend in a similar vein. The way the crowd of onlookers are part of the beat reminds me a bit of the Trisha Brown choreography for the Monteverdi opera "Orfeo," which I got to see in Brussels. Very cool--the dancers' bodies were the sets.

Certainly a different take on ballet, but haven't the time to watch it through at the moment.
What a rascal Bob is, to tease his sister so !

MMmmm I choose an eclair today.

It is somewhat comforting to know that brothers teasing sisters reaches across the species and is a universal tradition.

Sophie is certainly giving Bob a good telling off!
