Just another day for wild adventure.

It's been overcast and chilly but this morning dawns bright and warm. The angelic duo are keen to get their harnesses on and the day started.

Angus does more painting of the bookcase in the dining room. It's looking better than it did but the colour chosen seems rather like battleship grey.  It's an unwritten law of nature that every time I clamber on to the top platform 'The Font' calls. The paint has run out so the cupboard doors will have to wait. Bob was right about three coats being needed. Sophie opens one of the cupboard doors with her nose and finds a pack of paper napkins. These she happily shreds. A trail of shredded paper is left through the house marking her path.

The rooms at The Rickety Old Farmhouse have double doors. Installed to keep out the wind or  protect privacy or perhaps both. The PONs love double doors. Hide and seek has never been such fun. I try to explain to Sophie that she would be more difficult for her brother to find if she kept quiet and didn't yelp with excitement. She gives me her ''You play it your way I'll play it my way" look.

A few more days and the roses will be at their peak.

The lavenders that have been planted under them still aren't doing anything. Perhaps the roses are casting too much shade ?

The bookcase is looking good. As are the roses. I am far from an expert gardener but I believe lavender likes direct sun?
Bertie's idea of seventh heaven is to discover an unexpected pack of waiting-to-be-shredded paper napkins.

The double doors are interesting. What is in the space between?

Enoughh space for one person to stand up in or a PON to get trapped in sideways.

Perhaps the lavender needs an extended period of good hot weather. Hopefully 'The Font' will return in time to catch the roses at their peak.

The library is looking beautiful. Where would you be without the PONs' sage advice and peerless help?

Sophie is ever a pup with a mind of her own ! Shredded paper napkins - what is it about paper that attracts dogs so much? I'm forever finding shredded paper strewn about - it's one of Inca's favourite pastimes !
The library is looking good - more power to your paintbrush !

The wallpaper is sublime.
And books in the dining room ... one of my favourite things, and something else we share.

If it was wallpaper I'd be happier. It's century old linen and the bane of 'The Fonts' life. Look at it and it splits.
