Voice their delight.

The heat building. At six thirty it's still fresh but give it an hour and the air will be warm and scented with wild thyme. The frogs in the village give voice to their delight. Sophie glares at them. The family diva has been known to leap into the pond in pursuit of these croaking interlopers. It goes without saying that Angus has to wade in to pull her out. She is put on her lead before events run away with themselves and her master gets covered in green slime.

It's the village day to host the inhabitants of the special needs home. The mayor is up early opening up the salle des fetes for the catering team. Three of the staff from the home are gathering roses from the standards by the war memorial. They wave and shout as the PONs trot by. Although it's early the sound of Motown Hits of the 80's is blaring out of the kitchen. Later today the special needs folk with have a happy three hour karaoke marathon. The PONs will love it.

The electricians arrive. It is completely beyond the comprehension of Bob and Sophie that they should not be intimately involved in the rewiring.  The angelic duo are penned into the small side garden. They simply cannot understand why. The electricians are grateful. The PONs look mournful.

Awww sad Pons. They would be such good helpers. Looks like it is going to be a long hot summer for you.

Perhaps not the best day ever when active participation in the rewiring is denied along with the opportunity to become immersed in green slime? I envy your days of warm sunshine. On the Northern California coast we're having rain for the next several days along with highs in the upper 50s.

Good fences make good neighbors. Especially when the workmen are charging by the hour.
Glad you managed a slime-free morning.
