Late afternoon the telephone engineer shows up to fix our land lines ( which have been on the non-functioning side of 'temperamental' for the last three weeks ). He connects the junction box to some sort of diagnostic unit and voila! Everything starts working perfectly. Problem sorted in under five minutes.
Later 'The Font' finds him stretched out on a bench on the village green - asleep. Seems he's the proud father of 'teething' twin girls. Having allowed an hour to solve our problem and with time to spare before his final call of the day he's decided that the #1 priority is to try and catch some sleep. This can perhaps be put down to using his time wisely if not efficiently.
This morning Sophie waits under the desk while Angus and the Manhattanites chat. Call over she gives me that 'Get a move on !' look and then backs it up with her patented ' Get a move on !' yelp. She is turning into quite a talkative lady. All our PONs have made 'yodeling' noises. Sophie makes more than all her predecessors combined.
What would you prefer ? 4 days with longer hours or the standard 5 day week ? :https://www.sciencealert.com/huge-4-day-work-week-experiment-begins-in-the-uk-the-largest-ever-conducted

Beautiful photo of Sophie heading off down the lane through the wheat fields this morning. The world will be watching the wheat harvest this year with more than the usual level of attention.
Being the owner of a teething pup, I can sympathise with the telephone engineer!
Cheers, Gail.
And a beautiful smile in that second shot.
Wise phone man, rest when you can, play when you can, work when needed, he has learned from Sophie the keys to a content life.
"Did someone mention that it's croissant time?" That's one very happy Sophie in the second photo!
My favorite photos this morning is the long road, with a solitary walker. Very interesting article about dreams; thank you. Would the ambient air (once the croissants are out of the oven) have anything to do with texture?
