Raising eyebrows.

A rather downbeat telco with the Manhattanites. Gaza and Ukraine grind remorselessly on while tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan rise (again).  This week a new character makes his debut in our conversation. It seems the views of Speaker Johnson, on a number of matters, will be raising eyebrows for the foreseeable future.

We've been given a brief reprieve from the rain. The morning forecast was for a continuation of the unrelenting  downpour but Saturday dawns with some large patches of blue sky and mild temperatures. As we head down the path to the shore a rainbow appears . For a brief moment the bitumen carrier heading into the harbour at Dundee is painted a riot of colours. Every old coastal workhorse has its day.

Town already busy. This is the day of the week when farmers and their families come to do their shopping. With Halloween done and dusted all eyes are now fixed on Christmas. Bleary eyed students are up and about returning from last nights party or heading off to the library to finish off the paper that was due yesterday afternoon.

The Scotties facing their final week before being gathered together and auctioned off.

The Barbie and the Elvis Scotties brighten up the pavement by the breakfast place that serves good coffee.

Tickets on sale for the Christmas panto. It will play to packed houses of parents and excited six year olds from the opening at the end of this month through to the 'wild' Hogmanay last show.

And did those feet in ancient time ?  :https://www.thecollector.com/britons-descended-israelites/

Very interesting article to peruse with the first cuppa of the day... I wonder if one of those Scotties is destined for a garden on the very edge of Fife's shores..? YAM xx

Rainbows and Scotties preferred to thoughts of "Maga Mike" as he is characterized and whose views are indeed the talk of the town. Sadly.

Lovely rainbow. It's that time of year when one become obsessed with making the most of the short hours of daylight and dry weather and getting outdoors!

Congress is still a bit of a clown show.

You've forgotten tomorrow, Angus, November 5th - or is it purely an English celebration?
Given the sophistication of all but the very youngest children, i wonder if the Panto holds the same magic as it did to those of us born before the advent of colour TV (or TV!), mobile phones and computers?
