Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

Sophie clambers onto the top of the garden planters and carefully digs out all the soil and bulbs. Satisfied with her gardening skills she then uses her nose to knock over the flower pots that line the outside stairs to the terrace. The morning copy of Le Monde thoroughly shredded before its read.

Bob discovers that Angus has inadvertently left a jumper on a hall chair. This is liberated and dragged into the garden where it makes an excellent bed. The corners of a Turkish rug carefully chewed . A  trail of masticated wool left as evidence.

The little darlings are enjoying life - in a throttle wide open way. Their completely exhausted  owners are in  bed and sound asleep by ten .

Oops forgot to warn you about the sleep deprivation of puppy ownership. Sophie sounds lke the lead mischief maker. Our pup just went into heat! Vet and breeder told us not to get her spayed until she either had first heat or was a year old. Theory is waiting allows for more skeletal/muscle maturity. Will be scheduling the procedure very soon.

And to think you were worried that Sophie had an overly shy and retiring nature, hahaha!!

Those two babes are such fun. It's so wonderful to view the world afresh through their eyes.

xx (for Bob and Sophie)

Oh my goodness, what a good morning laugh for me. Sophie is a girl after my own heart.....send her over to help me out with my gardening chores. I've got some repotting to do, and I could sure use her help. Never judge a book by its cover Angus....Sophie had us fooled didn't she?
I've reread this post twice and I can't stop laughing....love them both.
Happy weekend.

We have a few chewed corners on rugs here. Fond reminders of puppyhood.
Fun, isn't it?

Sophie keeps her self entertained, needs no toys.
Maybe Bob was checking on sizes, Father's Day is coming. Could be why the jumper was taking out side.
They will keep you young at heart.
I love your blog, it is so up lifting for us all, thank you.

What is the old saying about dogs? "A tired dog is a good dog" Perhaps a forced march down a long road a couple of times a day would wear the little ones out. Not to mention keep you in fine fettle.

Cheers,

Too bad it wasn't the saccharine bear sweater. Sounds like the next time you need something dug up you just need to put Miss Sophie on the task. Who needs the guys with back hoes?

Is it not amazing just how we forget just what puppyhood is like??? And Bob and Sophie are growing quickly....you can see it in just a week!!!

We have lots of weeds in our yard...perhaps we could hire Miss Sophie for assistance??
