France came last in last nights Eurovision song contest. We didn't watch it but there's outrage in today's local newspaper. Here is an interview with the performers.
It has been said some countries choose particularly bad songs to make sure they don't win. The winning country has the cost of hosting the following years contest. Who could be so cynical ?

I must say I thought the French song was pretty bad.
The UK song wasn't good either.
But as for the winner.......since when did the contest attract such..........I'm searching for words here..........complete twerps?
If that song had been sung by a female diva in a big frock it would have got nowhere. People voted for the freak element I think.
The Netherlands song was brilliant, one of the few that sounded different from the majority of humdrum pop songs, written and performed with class. I'm glad they came second and they would probably have won if the girl had had a beard.
Not that I'm a fanatic you understand, it just happened to be on when I sat on the sofa.......
Cynical? Mais, non. Perhaps practical, though, avoiding unnecessary expenses.
We don't watch Eurovision.
XXXOOO Bella & Roxy
This was hard to believe.. Jean above made me laugh with her "freak element" comment.
I did watch a few more videos however, which were quite interesting.
