A record of those unimportant little things that are too important to be forgotten.

Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.
No clambering on the furniture. Bob's pretty much got the idea. You can make up your own mind about Sophie.
We stop off at the Ascension Day market. The greengrocer's wife is setting out a tray of Sweet Potatoes . Here in deepest France profonde you rarely see anything American for sale. She's written out a sign 'Patate Douce des USA'. What the locals will think of this exotic import remains to be seen. At the equivalent of $2.90 a pound she's had no takers. I'm not sure it's a good idea to slice them in half. Bob and Sophie each get given a green bean. An act of kindness too unimportant to be recorded in a diary but too important to be completely forgotten.

Love that first photo. Sophie diva like on the garden seat, disdaining to obey the rules, Bob at her feet, acting as her personal security guard.
Sophie's mantra in life '' Rules don't apply to a princess ".
Hee hee - Sophie are like me, she do not believe in rules!
We think the garden seat looks more comfy than the table....but maybe you don't get the view.
Most of Blogville slices up those sweet potatoes and dry them to make DOG treats....just an idea.
XXXOOO Bella Roxy & Dui
Green beans are Apple's favourite.
Sweet potatoes a close second.
It's very kind of you to put a cushion on Sophie's bench as well as on your own chairs.
Shame poor Bob just gets the gravel.
When she says "Maroc" does she mean they're from Morocco or some Moroccan breed?

Sophie...Miss Diva can only be herself....Sophie Miss Diva.
According to The Book of Sophie, the furniture is there for her to be used.......she has no intention of not clambering on to the furniture...remember to accept the things that you can not change.....smile....
I love your quote today...something I try to live by everyday.
Thanks for noticing todays title . A little tribute to Maya Angelou who passed on overnight.
On behalf of the PON's ...Thanks for the tip.
Gravel .... a big brothers lot in life.
From Morocco ... I guess.
With that recommendation sweet potato is on the 'must try ' list.
Ah it all comes down to how one defines clambering. Is sleeping clambering? Is sitting with beautiful upright posture clambering? Princess Sophie is very clever with her understanding of the subtleties of the English language. Words do have power. Vale Maya Angelou.
Sophie's sophistry.
You are right, the greengrocer's wife shouldn't have cut the sweet potatoes because they are more perishable than other types of potatoes, (a favorite staple for us!) Here in the US, 'purple potatoes' are becoming the exotic import that are about the same price per pound as your sweet potatoes.
I also noticed your tribute to Maya Angelou, a loss of a true icon of literature.
I wrote a post in her honour on my blog....the words rang home for me.
