Wearing a frown.

Caroline, the 'new' cleaning lady, arrives at first light. Within ten minutes she's muttering unhappily away to herself. Today she's wearing a frown, black army boots, green cargo shorts and a dark blue tee shirt with a stags head on it. Bob, Sophie and Angus head out into the garden to prune the trees.

As Angus cuts the rose stems the little angels pick them up and drag them off to the courtyard. PONs are not silent dogs. They growl and yelp with delight. Sophie takes the opportunity to rush indoors with a length of vine. This she chews and distributes liberally around the recently hoovered floor. This does nothing to improve Carolines mood.

The frogs are back. Scores of them on a late evening migration back to the village pond from the stream at the foot of the hill. Bob and Sophie are delighted.

Look on the bright side. I guess its good to have a cleaner who doesn't have a relaxed attitude to mess on the floor.

That's quite right. Thank you. There again it depends on how you would describe an 'unrelaxed attitude''.

Our sitting room floor is covered with chewed maple leaves, wonder how that happened ?

As much as I try to confine the great outdoors, outdoors; I'll never win.

We often have chewed vines and branches decorating our floors.

It's hard to imagine a greater contrast than between Mme Bay with her colorful tulle and turbans and golden oldies and Mme. Newbie clad in black army boots, cargo shorts, and a frown! If your furry angels can't change the frown, no one can! xxxxx

Bob and Sophie are unable to turn frown upside down? Oh dear!
