What a great photo! We will be handing Cherry off to our version of the K-E-N-N-E-L-S this evening and heading off on holiday. First stop is St. Andrews, where we will be visiting the University tomorrow during the day and then having dinner at Tailend (I took careful notes of your post a couple of months ago!).
Not the melons covered in plastic but the apple trees covered in grey netting. The finches flock in huge numbers and eat the young apples if they;re not protected. Sunflowers on the side of the hills.

What a lovely view. It doesn't look too dry for you guys? Plenty of green fields.
Are the melons still covered with plastic in this heat?
Is the yellow sunflowers or colza?

One PON tail say it all. . .
A museum-worthy title for a museum-worthy picture.
Is that weather, or heat, lying along the far horizon?
Safe journey. Is it Edinburgh after St Andrews ?

Not too dry yet but getting that waty.
One rapidly wagging PON tail.
Angus is no longer seeing stars - during the day.
Heat. Heat and more heat. 38 today.
