Pointy hats
Bob leaps into the back of the car. I tell him he's '' a clever boy ".
The blank look on his face indicates that I might be wrong.
We drive down to the valley. The PONs hurtle out of the car and lead the way across the field to the stream. The angelic duo follow the path through the wheat made by the tractor tyres. This gives the morning walk an additional touch of excitement. Bio wheat this year. The poppies springing up thanks to the absence of pesticides and weed killers.
On our way home a detour to the hardware store for some canine dental chews.
The absent minded woman at the cash desk tells me that a new line in summer clothing has '' just arrived ''.
The new seasons garden gnomes are also on display. The annual reminder that the French have convinced the world that they are guardians of good taste while busily filling their gardens with figures in pointy hats.
School no more. That time of the year again. A very energetic High School graduation ceremony : https://youtu.be/8djXsCPCUIU?t=5968

Bob does look as if he's had a rather rough night.
You meant it as a compliment, but Bob probably thinks you were being sarcastic !
No thanks, I'll pass on the gnomes again this year - definitely not a "must have"
Perhaps Bob is trying for the canine equivalent of the scruffy-unshaven male model look.
I am trying to imagine what Gertrude Jekyll might have said about those garden gnomes. Words fail.
OTOH, Yay for bio wheat.
Where is Sophie, while Bob is waiting? In the garden chasing dove again? I can see why the wheat field with poppies would be an adventure on the way to the stream. Wow, the organ music in the video was amazing!
