Proudly borne.

What better way to start the day ? Sophie finds a dead baby pigeon in the laurel hedge. She carries it into the house, skips up the stairs and heads into the bedroom to share her good fortune with 'The Font'.

After the 'commotion' has died down I spend some time explaining to Sophie that not everyone finds a cold pile of feathers, drool and congealed blood dropped on their pillow to be the best start to the day.

Sophie absorbs this news with a stoic ' It takes all sorts ' attitude.

Not the morning present I would appreciate either, but Good Girl Sophie. One of your best days ever I would imagine.

Oh Sophie, what a perfect start to what is surely going to be the most perfect day ever.
Toodle pip!

One has to admire Sophie's willingness to share her latest prized possession. Surely 'The Font' was just a teeny bit appreciative to share in a PON girl's best day ever?

Well, Sophis, given that angel Jasper (cat) was prone to presenting me with possum guts, a whole critter seems an improvement overall... angel Jade (dog) knew better.

The whale is most likely a trained ex-captive, which actively seeks out human company. Fun, but also rather sad. Although this was a nifty way to celebrate SA's rugby cup!!! YAM xx

Sophie, I am very proud of you! Bob and Angus had, perhaps, already seen your treasured find. So, you chose to share it with the person that did not know about your good fortune. Next time, as you skip up the steps on your way to the bedroom, maybe you could make some deep guttural or high pitched sounds as a warning you are on your way with a special gift!

A dead pigeon is best served as a surprise. No forewarning needed ! Relish the moment.

Perhaps more detail about the "commotion"?
So glad to hear Sophie is doing well.
