Before heading off on our morning walk Angus pops into the kitchen and has a yoghurt. Sophie sits by his side and silently, but powerfully, lets it be known that she ADORES yoghurt. The pot is licked dishwasher clean. Make that industrial dishwasher clean.
We head off in the car, windows down, radio blaring to the cafe that makes the really really good croissants. This mornings soft and flaky. 9/10. Just after dog and master have finished the council sanitation department staff show up. First one truck, then three. Sophie is now known by name by the entire sanitation department workforce. How chic is that ! A diva indeed.

I know that look in the first photo - "Excuse me, sir, but have you completely forgotten your poor starving dog?" The Pew article on the Democrat/Republican divide was interesting. Now that the virus seems to be rolling through the red states, I hope they check to see whether these results hold in a month or so. The virus probably just doesn't feel real to someone living in a place where there hasn't been much impact - maybe like what you've experienced in your area. It's quite frightening to see the trend right now in the US, and also infuriating.
Here the wearing of masks has been forgotten and life continues as if nothing had ever happened. The number of cases is slowly starting to tick up again. We only had a small number of deaths- 6 - but the motorway is starting to get busy with cars heading south from Paris to the beaches.

Your 'ephemera' delight and inform, as ever. And can life be any better than to share the curly ends of a 9/10 croissant and be admired by a horde of sanitationers? YAM xx
Très chic, Mademoiselle Sophie!
The best croissant in some time - yippee!!
I had just recently been reading about aphantasia - fascinating and difficult to imagine. Also hard to believe it was "discovered" only a few years ago!
Angus, at some time in the future you may be able to trade on the fact that the whole sanitation department know Sophie! You'll just need to say "I'm Sophie's master" and your wish will be their command.......
The Sophie 'card' is a good one to have although I hope that I never have to use it with the sanitation department.
Some yoghurt does sound delicious in the morning. We love that face. It looks like the weather was beautiful when you went to the cafe. Thanks for the share. Have a fantastic upcoming weekend.

You can actually see Sophie willing the yogurt pot down to her level, great photo! I'm happy that there are still 9.5 croissants around after so many lesser ones!
