A much better size.

The ' big' car is now 9 years old. The cruise control has become temperamental and the rear parking camera is suffering from blurred vision. We head off to the Volvo garage in the little Skoda in search of a replacement.'' That's far too big " says 'The Font' eyeing up a 4x4 in the forecourt. '' This is a much better size ". The 'much better sized' vehicle is exactly the same as the first one except in a different colour. Angus says nothing.

The young salesman asks if we'd like a test drive. '' What a good idea" replies 'The Font'. They return after twenty minutes. I can't help but think that the young man appears more nervous than he was before setting off.

Sophie opts for an afternoon spent sunbathing on the garden table. She sleeps with her tongue sticking out.

After two nights away the French teachers Labradors have returned safely home. One is lame and covered in cuts. The other looks as though he's been for a walk in the park. They sleep the deep uninterrupted sleep of safely reunited family dogs.

And here's some music for  Sunday morning : https://youtu.be/YykjpeuMNEk

You test drove a car WITHOUT the PONs? Don't they have to approve?

Good to hear that the Labs have returned home safely of their own accord. Strange how some dogs have wanderlust, and others stay very close to home. We had a little Spaniel X who was forever going off on "big" adventures,(judging by the state of him when he returned) and was away from home for hours. After a while we gave up looking for him, because we found that he never roamed too far, and always came home in time for his dinner !
Lovely photo of a contented Sophie.

If they don't - it will take an awful lot of sausages and coconut ice-cream to win them round !

Re the first comment, one wonders how the young salesman's nerves would have fared after a test drive with Sophie....

Even we draw the line at test driving a car with a hairy dog aboard! We are somewhat wary of a courtesy car and it's probable requirement of valetting after.

Thank God the dogs are home! Where I live, cuts all over mean barbed wire. Painful lesions that easily become infected.
Don't you drive a Rover car? You're giving it up?

That's great news that the two labs have made their way back home...let's hope they have now realised that the grass is not always greener on the other side, although it always appears to be.
Love the photo of Sophie asleep with her tongue sticking out...I suppose she's giving it a much needed rest too.
I'm with Bella Roxy and Macdui above, how could Madame Font test drive a new car without the PON duo? Just doesn't seem right.
They're some cute Volkswagen Sign Then Drive ads which make me smile every time.

Maybe it's time the PON duo had their own car commercial.

The Coldplay video was really nice...the scenery alone made it worth watching.
I would have never tagged you as a Coldplay fan.

Sophie is the very picture of contentment. So happy to hear that the Labradors are home again.

Good news to know the Labs are home! My guess is we will be seeing a version of the Coldplay video during the half time show, tonight at the Super Bowl.

Must confess: the Super Bowl half time show was not like the Coldplay video!

Glad the Labs are safe!

Glad to hear the prodigal sons have returned home (not sure if they are male or not, but that's ok!) Is Sophie's sleeping pattern post-ictal mushroom?
