Truly remarkable.

Bob starts his day by rearranging the solar system fridge magnets with his nose. Saturn is nibbled. Venus falls off the door. Bob seems content with his handiwork.

His sister waits attentively for her morning yogurt. She wanders off to her special 'pot cleaning' spot under the library table. No dishwasher cleans  a yogurt carton as efficiently and as spotlessly as Sophie.

In the village :

The little lady with the purple hat is gradually recovering from the 'fit of the vapours' caused by the swaying crucifix. She has once again started to take her Yorkie on its breakfast perambulation across the village green.

The Old Farmer spends his morning working on the brake pads of the venerable '' it's good for another two hundred and fifty thousand kilometres " Ford Transit motor home. He has sent off for, and received, a three month Belorussian visa. Current plans call for a June 1st departure date.

More workmen have appeared to spray orange hieroglyphs on the tarmac around the war memorial. These remain incomprehensible to the uninitiated. There is still no sign of work starting on the raised zebra crossing.

Sophie demonstrates a somewhat indecorous way of sitting. This is a new affectation.

The PONs continue to show a truly remarkable enthusiasm for life.

Venus on the floor? So that's what the big bang was this morning !!
We wonder if the raised zebra crossing is going to double as a speed hump - or traffic calming measure, as they say. We have them all over the place here. Due to almost everyone slamming on their brakes as they approach them, after a short while the markings fade, and you can't see them in the dark. That's when they become truly bone shaking and teeth rattling. I wonder if yours has been suggested to slow down the lady who is always late taking her children to school, and rushes through the village at an unseemly speed?

How wonderful that the Old Farmer has his Belorussian project to keep him motivated about life. And what a relief that his vehicle will at least have functional brakes.
Cheers! Gail.

That certain part of the world certainly holds a special attraction for the old farmer. Maybe I missed something but how is the very old farmer doing?
Such a brave fellow.
Those solar system magnets scare me. I read about dogs ingesting magnets. Rather bad.

You can't help but admire the Old Farmers 'get up and go' spirit!

While Sophie's new way of sitting is adorable, I do wonder if she is compensating for a place that is bothering her, maybe in her hip area? Since she is a diva princess to all of us, we can't help being concerned.

I love it when Bob "fixes" the solar system, then I know truly all is well with the world!

Humans tire. PONs don't. Or, if they do, they simply turn on their side and snore. Simple really.

A brand new 9 week old puppy named Mr. Beau sounds like one of the very nicest things I can imagine. Enjoy your new little guy!

I agree. Merlin sits this way when his hip is a little sore. May be worth investigating.
