Car body parts.

Bob knows something is out of kilter. The village kittens have been sleeping on the garden dining chairs again. Hearing the angelic duo rush into the garden they scuttled off en masse to the safety of the high orchard wall. Sophie has spent a full ten minutes following their scents round and round and round the terrace.  Bob can sense their presence but can't see them.

Little does he know that he's being carefully studied by two of the kittens who are sitting, prudently still, on top of the wall.

A wonderful old door in the neighbouring village. What were the grilles on either side for ? Ornamentation or a way talking to the person outside without having to let them in ?

The village refuse bins have been discovered by fly tippers from Toulouse. Today we have two car seats, an office chair, a printer and various car body parts. The cans of wasp killer have been removed by the long suffering ( and rarely thanked ) dustmen.

The kittens are great, and I guess this answers the question whether they are all the same color. Yesterday's looked almost Siamese, and today we have black and white. Bob does look perplexed, however. Here in Tokyo, we are dealing with an upset stomach after Cherry nicked a pork chop off the kitchen counter. My husband bravely retrieved the bone, but she got the rest. Whatever strategies we come up with, she finds new ways . . . If she and Sophie ever combined resources, we'd have a real problem.

...well, at least those city flytippers are leaving the stuff in a place appropriate, unlike many here who seem to think hedgerows and woodlands and farmers' fields are the place to scatter their garbage... YAM xx

Are you sure the fly tippers are from Toulouse and not northerners (Parisians! as bad as C-A-T-S!) with vacation properties down south? Because you need a sticker on your car in order to go to the dechetterie. Usually in cities (even in my little village), there's one day a week/month (once a month in the village, every Tuesday in Carcassonne) where they pick up "encombrants." You leave them near the bins and the municipal workers take them away for free, since many city folk and little old ladies in villages don't have cars to be able to do it.
The kittens are adorable.

Those kittens have definitely decided that your garden, and it's walls, is THE place to be. They don't seem to be intimidated by Bob and Sophie.
It's surprising what some people will leave beside the basura (rubbish) bins, here, too. Around the time the villa renters get ready to open up again, all manner of items appear. I reckon that the contents of an entire villa from beds to big kitchen appliances, whole bathrooms, and any amount of really tacky looking furniture, appear practically overnight!

Bob looks perfect this morning...every hair in place and his beard trimmed 'just right.' He does though have a somewhat concerned look about him.
Surprising that those cheeky little kittens are able to sneak in a nap on the terrace without alerting the PON brigade.
The owners of the grey house must like a breeze flowing through the place. Wonder what it's like in winter.

Looks like a great day. The kittens know the best place to be hanging around. Now you have new little kitten friends. Thanks for sharing the great photos. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
