An e-mail from a restaurant in London lands in the inbox. Memorable because it's the first Christmas advert of the year : https://indianaccent.com/london/Media-pdf/christmas_parties-menu.pdf . How many people look at the e-mail and think '' How helpful. I was just wondering what to do for Christmas. I'll book up straight away ?" Others may have a different response.
I tell Bob about the e-mail. He displays great interest when he hears the word 'dinner'. This amazes me about the PONs. Words like 'sit', 'stay' or 'No!' are forgotten - or at best selectively remembered - but any food related word , in any language, will immediately command their attention.
The Coots are getting bigger and warier. My hopes of getting the Coot photo of the year award are shrinking towards zero. Sophie glares at the vegetation from which emanate annoying chirruping sounds.

The Indian restaurant's Christmas dinner menu is a fascinating and adventurous blend of East and West - Partridge musallam and tamarind glazed brussel sprouts etc. I'm almost ready to make a booking! Cheers, Gail.

When working in Sydney (and we are talking corporate days which are twenty years passed now), the local eateries started touting for Christmas party bookings at the beginning of September; quite possibly now it has come forward to August. Office parties are big dollars and generally well attended. More fool the boss who doesn't organise things in time to avoid just having to go down the local pub and fight the crowds. Worse still have to have the wife host the crew. Off to watch that wee movie now. YAM xx
Angus, if it is not too personal a question (after reading your blog for years and the link to the birth order article today) what is your birth order and what is the Font's birth order?
Angus is 3 and The Font 1
God bless the beggar and his dog. Pretty dog! Our, Bosley, you might remember who also had two ACL surgeries just after Sophie's, has passed away a month ago. We are missing him terribly. Comforting for me here to follow Bob's and Sophie's daily adventures. Not even thinking about Christmas...it's still in the 90s here!
