No sausages.

After the heat a spell of cool air settles over the village. The PONs are very grateful. They celebrate with a game of hide and seek in the sunflower fields.

On our way back home we pass the village pond. Three Coots hurtle into the safety of the water lilies. One tardy Coot can be seen on the right of the picture. Why is it that the i-Phone camera refuses to work when speed is of the essence ?

The 16th century pottery kiln is set to be restored. Last night the workmen came to leave their trailer and cement mixer in readiness for an early morning start. The angelic duo stand on their hind legs and inspect the inside of the trailer. Sadly, the builders have not filled it with sausages.

Despite this disappointment the PONs are of the opinion that today is shaping up to be the best day ever. A croissant and a bowl of water will soon get things on an upwards path.

Bertie was of the opinion that a post titled 'no sausages' would not be worth even opening, but I disagreed.
Cheers! Gail.

Inca Lab. sends commiserations! She, too, knows what it's like when the builder's vehicle is filled with work tools, and not a sausage in sight. Some people can be so thoughtless!

My dog this morning found and tried to bring home with her a dead cicada, of which we now have many, many. The thing was the size of an F-16. No wonder they're so noisy.

The sunflower field looks so beautiful. A game of hide and seek would be so fun in there. The builders better know next time to fill it with delicious sausages. Thanks for the share. Have a great day.

I'm thrilled to have the first sunflower in our garden opening today; we'll have perhaps a dozen all together. I never tire of looking at your bountiful fields filled with sunflowers. So glad you're enjoying cooler temperatures.
