Interesting psychology.

Midnight at The Rickety Old Farmhouse. A real humdinger of a storm blowing outside. The rain cascading down.  Sophie can't settle. She sits and looks at me.  ' Do you know my brothers not here ?' I scrunch her ear. She's not the only one worried about Bob. He's not eaten since Wednesday night and is in the recovery room on a drip. There's  a cat in there with him but he's so out of it he's not bothered. Somehow, miraculously, he's still with us.

We head into the kitchen. Angus has not one but two yogurts. Sophie licks the pots dishwasher clean. Some small recompense for being separated from Bob. She settles down with a sigh by the front door. Who'd ever have thought she'd be so upset ?

Mid morning we'll all head off to see how the family fellow is getting on.

Dog psychology is a strange thing...Bob and Sophie have a very strong bond, but my two Golden Retriever boys Riley (now 13) and Enzo (almost 9) show no concern whenever the other one is away for a walk, day or even overnight. The only time they are "tail waggingly happy side-by-side" is when both their muzzles are inside a 1kg yogurt container searching for the tastiest bits. Sending lots of love and our very best wishes to Bob, you, the Font and Sophie during such uncertain times, with fingers and paws crossed that you will all be back together at the ROF soon.

Here's to a much needed night of sleep for all of you and a joyous visit tomorrow. I can picture Sophia marching in, loudly announcing her arrival, then giving Bob a few kisses.

Wish I could wave a magic wand and make everything perfect again. So very worried here on Vancouver Island. Saw one today at a xmas market, going back to the market for other things but will go by the stall and wave it for you all.
