I is happy.

Two articles about dogs in one of those glossy magazines you only find in dentists waiting rooms. For once the hygienist doesn't start a lecture about flossing. Miracles never cease.

London sunny. Halfway across the Channel the weather changes and the clouds build up. It's been windy back here in France. Two of the pool umbrellas blown over, their spokes bent and broken.

Bob is delighted to have found the 'lost' part of his flock. Mr. Glum instantly restored to Mr. Happy. He imparts a PON style kiss. He tries to land a second one but his owner has been forewarned. Sophie is less demonstrative. She allows her owner to tickle her then rushes off into the orchard to chase a blackbird.

Interesting about the Scotties. I have thought I've been seeing more of them around the Aberdeen area over the past couple of years (well before the Commonwealth Games ceremony), although they are still much rarer than their terrier cousin, the near ubiquitous Westie.
Cheers,
Gail.

Fascinating behaviour from the two angels - unbridled love from him while she plays hard to get.

Also fascinating that a bit of tv exposure can rekindle interest in a breed of dog which seems to have become less popular. The few Scotties I have met always seemed to be delightful little dogs.

Hear hear JEAN - we have shared our lives for the past four decades with Scottish Terriers. Once a Scottie owner, always a Scottie owner.
They are cerebral dogs, highly intuitive and intelligent, loyal to a fault, slightly aloof (which we love!), perfectly capable of working out their
own schedule, never ever doing 'tricks' for treats (in fact, never doing tricks at all), and then - we have to mention their iconic good looks. When you walk a Scottie, be prepared to have people fall over themselves in awe. Well…..enough……we adore this distinctive breed!
Regards from the Westcoast of Canada……my Scottie at my feet at this very moment.

Goldens, Scotties and lecturing about flossing, my favorite topics when I have a captive audience, I mean patient!

Glad all is well again in deepest France profonde!

Oh dear, seems when dogs get popular, you end up with unwanted dogs. We're lucky here in Oz, scotties are rare and expensive, so they rarely need to be rehomed.

We're glad Bob is back to his happy self.

I love to see a Scottie but only have seen them at pet stores and have not got to touch one!

How many were there in 1314?

As a kid I just yearned for a Scottie like Fala (FDR's dog) but I didn't get one until my 50's. Like lots of terriers these pups aren't for everybody but I just adored my boy. He lived within months of his 18th year and he always slept on the foot of my bed. Every night I would tell him if he wanted to go and be Jesus's Dog it was OK with me. But he seemed quite certain I was unable to take care of myself, so he had to stay. We finally helped him on his way but not even one day goes by that I don't miss him or think of him. Cheers, Jo

You are refusing kisses from Mr.Happy to see you back Bob....not nice....slobbery kisses are the best....your dark suit can be laundered.
