A gravel loving diva.
The PONs are up and about at first light to greet the builders. Bob is on guard from the first second he wakes. His sister takes a little longer to start functioning.
Before we head off to buy the breakfast croissants there is time to clamber up the mountain of gravel. Sophie reaches the top, lies on her back and then rolls down. She does this three times before being 'encouraged' into the car. The rolling down the gravel mountain is accompanied by howls of delight.
The man with the Yorkie comes by on his afternoon walk. The Yorkie lifts a leg and christens the flowerpots outside the gate. This display of audacity drives Bob insane. We get the PON howl.
This is Basque sheep cheese week. To celebrate an 18 inch high statue of a Basque shepherd boy ( cradling what is presumably a lamb ) appears on the cheese counter. Does mans artifice have no limits ? Is there a factory that churns these out or are they hand made ?
Bob and Sophie are big fans of Basque sheep cheese.

Did you just say cheese? I love cheese but my Mum said I can't eat too much cheese.
Really, I think you should make the gravel mountain a permanent feature of the garden.
Any chance of a short video? Would love to see the 'Gravel Surfing Diva' in action🙈😃
We second that :-)
I agree, a video of the gravel rolling Diva would be priceless!
We think Basque sheep would be good too.
The cheese looks wonderful. Artifice has no limits. In fact, I thinks what ever limits previously existed are now gone.
Another vote for video of gravel rolling here.
Maybe this is Diva Sophie's idea of a stone massage. Count us in for a gravel rolling video!
Yes please - a gravel rolling video, so that we can admire Sophie's technique!
Is the Basque shepherd boy made at the same factory where they churn out garden gnomes?
We're sure we'd love Basque sheep cheese too.
Brownie hates when other dogs pee at his front gate too....drives him CRAZY!!!
I'm joining the chorus for a gravel rolling Sophie video before it's all spread around.
The Basque shepherd boy must be the cousin to our "Bob's Big Boy."
I'm here for the first time and have been reading and laughing. These two are such a happy fun dogs, love it and will be their new follower.
Regards, Janneke
