No disagreements

PONs and master are in agreement. This mornings croissant is nearly perfect. Straight out of the oven, almost piping hot, the outside crisp and the inside buttery. 9.8/10 on the human scale. 22/10 by the PON scale. Tails beat against the aluminium table legs.

The selection of cakes eclectic. The meringue-chocolate- chantilly concoction described as ''Marvellous'' which is an efficient use of language. What more needs be said ?

Later today Bob and Angus will wrap up warmly and go to the rugby match.

Sophie will stay behind to oversee the preparation of some turbot which will be coated in breadcrumbs and served as upmarket fish and chips.

Each PON thinks they've got the better Sunday morning deal so there will be no disagreements.

Nice to see that the Baker is trying the berries. Sounds like a great way to spend a weekend day. Hope your team does well at the rugby.

Thank you for your good wishes to the local team. Sadly, I fear the local farmers will need more than good wishes to win.

The cake does, indeed, look marvelous, as does the croissant :) Oh, I'd love to go to the museum; I adore Sargent...

I had a chocolate croissant yesterday, and while I thought it was at least an "8" I thought I was probably using the Bob and Sophie scale!
